Outside of questions I receive about home and garden projects/advice, I am constantly receiving messages on social media from women asking me what I am doing for my skin, hair and just overall general health; so I wanted to finally take the time to piece together a quick little blog post to share all of my absolute must-have products pertaining to skin, hair and body health! EVERY SINGLE ONE of the products that I am sharing with y’all are genuinely a part of my every day routine and while it might seem like a bit much, I promise you that the results these products (both topical and ingested) are well well worth the money/time investment.
There are several products that I truly could not imagine living without at this point in my life — aging gracefully and as naturally as possible has always been really important to me, and I am so happy that I took the time and went through some testing/trial and error to really discover on my own which products produce the best results for me. The majority of the products I use at this point are ALL-NATURAL. I have tried really hard to stay away from skin care products in particular that are loaded up with chemicals, and below I want to highlight some of those products specifically and how I use them/the benefits I have seen from them!
Castor Oil – This is truly my holy grail of skin/health care. Its one of those things honestly that make you really question the medical community in general and also just how the retail/consumer industry works so hard to NOT promote these natural, organic products for the mere fact that if everyone knew about them, all of the positive benefits you could see from them and how inexpensive they are compared to medical treatments and super pricey retailer products, it would put alot of people out of business. I initially started using this topically on my hands when I was suffering really badly from pain primarily brought on as a result of major major inflammation. Then, one day in conversation about my hands, someone said to me “Oh girl, lather that stuff all over your whole body! I put it in my hair and on my eyelashes is makes your hair grow and thickens it. It will also make your skin perfect and if you put it in your bellybutton at night before bed, it will change your life!”
So I started doing a little research and found she was right.

This is my FAVORITE Castor Oil. I’ve been using it religiously for almost 3 years now.
Castor oil is extracted from the seeds of the castor oil plant. Its therapeutic properties are attributed to its high concentration of triglycerides, specifically ricinoleic acid. Ricinoleic acid is known for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and analgesic properties, making castor oil a versatile remedy for various ailments.
According to several ancient practices, the belly button is a vital energy point connected to different organs and systems in the body.
Castor oil has been used for centuries in traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda and Chinese medicine to address a wide range of health concerns. It can promote detoxification, boost the immune system, and improve digestion. The numerous beneficial compounds present in castor oil, including fatty acids and antioxidants, contribute to its healing properties.
In Ayurveda, the belly button is considered the center of our body’s energy flow, known as the navel chakra or Manipura. It is believed to be the source of our vitality and life force.
Similarly, in Chinese medicine, the belly button is considered a key acupressure point that connects to various meridians and organs. These organs include the digestive system, reproductive organs, and the liver.
Here are some of the health benefits i’ve discovered through my research on Castor Oil, several of which I have tried for and seen myself!
1.) Promotes better digestion 2.) Enhances fertility 3.) Improves quality of sleep 4.) Boosts skin quality 5.) Supports detoxification 6.) Aids in pain relief and inflammation 7.) Enhances energy levels 8.) Relieves menstrual discomfort 9.) Boosts immune function 10.) Supports liver health 11.) Enhances mental clarity 12.) Balances hormones
I could go on and on and on for days about why I love Castor Oil – but I will leave it at this: If I could recommend ONE PRODUCT that I think everyone should use on a daily basis for the rest of their lives, it would be Castor Oil. It is also helpful to use Castor Oil packs if you are sleeping with in on a particular body part at night or applying it to the belly button so that it holds the oil there and also doesn’t get it all over your clothes or bed sheets — im linking the ones I use here!
These belly button patches are also awesome if you don’t want a full wrap 🙂
As for the other products on the guide below, I prefer to use a gentle face cleanser and the LaRoche-Posay one is hands down my favorite. The Vaseline healing jelly and the Vaseline Cocoa Butter Shimmer sticks are on my persons at ALL TIMES. I like to use my castor oil at night, but its a bit heavy/thick to apply throughout the day and so these two vaseline products are my go-to’s. I apply them in the morning, face and lips, and reapply throughout the day, especially when I am working outside. The shimmer stick is my favorite when I want a little glow but don’t want to actually apply “makeup” to my face.
Witch Hazel is my other secret skin-care weapon. Again, super cheap, all-natural and you can find it in any drug store or retail store like Walmart or Target — it cleans my pores, reduces redness and inflammation and DOESN’T dry my skin out. 10/10 recommend as the only astringent you will ever need to use on your face.

Anyone who has followed me for the last few years knows my love for and loyalty to this company and their products. Discovering Oliveda is honestly the best thing that has every happened to me and my skin health. These products are WATERLESS; which means that instead of using water as the base of all of their products (which is what every other skin care product uses) Oliveda uses their 100% organic bioactive beauty elixir formula as the base.
Hydroxytyrosol is a major proponent in the majority of their products, which is known to regenerate cells and protect the skin from oxidative stress.
Below is a list of all of the topical products I use and have been using for 3/4 years now, as well as two of their MUST-HAVE products to ingest. I preach this all of the time, and i’ll say it again: You can only do so much treating your hair/skin topically. The real work comes from repairing your body within. When you take a two-step, more holistic approach to your body health you are going to see WAY better results.

In addition to the two Oliveda products I ingest on a daily basis, below is a list of additional supplements I have incorporated into my daily routine to aid in my journey of aging gracefully and feeling and looking the absolute best I can.
Colostrum is a product I started incorporating a little over two years ago, and after the first month or two of taking this product, I was literally blown away by the results. My skin was supple, glowing and crystal clear, my hair, which had been really thinning and falling out cyclically due to haywire hormones, was growing thicker and longer and faster than it ever had before. Once I added in this liquid collagen a few months later, it was absolutely game over. I will never ever for as long as I live stop taking either one of these two products; EVER.
Promix is a company I stumbled upon a few months back and I started taking their DEBLOAT supplement towards the end of the summer – Can’t recommend it enough. I have no bloating, ever, which is insane because that’s something i’ve always struggled with at certain times in my cycle regardless of how “tiny” or in shape I am. It keeps my waist snatched at all times and I have seen a massive difference in regularity and also certain digestion issues i’ve always struggled with (acid reflux primarily)
I also recently started taking their electrolyte drink mix because I was reading about how much electrolytes help with skin hydration/appearance and they were not lyin’. My skin is as SUPPLE as ever.
Cymbiotika has an incredible line of liposomal supplements. I have been taking their Irish Sea Moss and also their Glutathione since the beginning of the summer and I just feel like its the ultimate beauty supplement duo TBH.

I hope this was all really helpful information! I really can’t tell you all how much incorporating these products/supplements has changed my life – again, I know it may seem like a lot; I’d say pinpoint your primary “issues” or area of concern and start there with products that can help address those things. Again again, I think the real work starts inside so if you HAD to start somewhere, I would suggest starting with Castor Oil, Oliveda’s Orac and Camu Camu Concentrate, Colostrum and/or Liquid Collagen!
